Focus Area IV: Ellsworth Industrial Park (Maple & I-355
The 300-acre Ellsworth Industrial Park is located at the west end of Downers Grove, adjacent to both interstate I-355 and the Belmont Train Station. The Ellsworth Industrial Park was built in the late 1950’s and is home to more than 135 diverse businesses, including Tricon Industries, Rexnord, Magnatrol, MacNeil Automotives and the newly relocated Johnson Printers.
GOAL STATEMENT:
Foster the creation of a distinctly commercial land use orientation that contemplates higher-density mixed-use commercial retail and potential higher-density residential development that can take advantage of the proximity of major lines of regional communication/transportation (I-355).
