S&P Raises Downers Grove Rating to AAA

The Village of Downers Grove has received a AAA bond rating from Standard & Poor’s (S&P), the highest rating issued by the agency. The ratings upgrade from AA+ came as the Village sought to refinance its 2005 series bonds.

Downers Grove Approves New Starbuck’s

Mega-chain Starbucks is building another coffee shop in Downers Grove, following the village council’s unanimous approval. The Sept. 9 vote clears the path for what would be the third Starbucks to locate in town.

More than 200 community members, local dignitaries, healthcare professionals, and University officials were on hand as Midwestern University unveiled its new $113 million Multispecialty Clinic in Downers Grove at a dedication ceremony and open house held on July 16, 2012. The 193,000 square-foot Multispecialty Clinic will provide a wide-range of healthcare services to the community and feature graduate healthcare students offering care under the close supervision of faculty mentors. A cornerstone of the facility is the state-of the-art Dental Institute, which offers high-quality dental care at about half the cost.

which were shown to more than 160 business and civic leaders at the DGEDC Annual
Luncheon at the DoubleTree Suites Hotel, were designed by the Maclyn Group.
