DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Diners in Downers Grove can indulge in inventive bowls made from scratch with fresh, organic ingredients at the newly opened CoreLife Eatery. The new restaurant makes its home at 1026 Ogden Ave. in the new Downers Grove Town Center Plaza, which is also home to City Barbecue and MOD Pizza.
CoreLife Eatery’s menu centers around bowls made with salad, grain, rice, or broth as a base. Diners can design their own bowls or choose a concoction from the menu. Some of the popular selections include the Korean BBQ pork rice bowl, the steak, bacon, and bleu cheese salad bowl, and the chicken tortilla broth bowl.
If you opt to create your own bowl, you can start with a base of mixed greens or grains and then move on to spice things up with a variety of ingredients that include scallions, chickpeas, sprouts, edamame, and shiitake mushrooms. Roasted tofu, cheeses, grass-fed steak, and other premium ingredients can be added on for a small fee.
CoreLife’s beverage menu also relies on sustainably sourced items and inventive ingredients, from the honey ginger lemonade and the tropical green tea to the refreshing beet lemonade.
