Ogden Avenue 2025
The Ogden Avenue TIF District has been a game-changer since its creation in 2001, driving redevelopment and growth throughout the corridor. Originally set to expire in 2024, the Village—working closely with the DGEDC and our elected representatives in the State Legislature—secured an extension to ensure the completion of a few final, transformative projects. This extension allows us to wrap up key initiatives while directing any new tax increment back to the taxing bodies.
Since 2022, the Village and the EDC have been executing a strategic TIF Closeout Plan, prioritizing redevelopment projects that will generate long-term sales tax and food & beverage tax revenue for our community.
The impact of the TIF district speaks for itself. Over the past two decades, more than 30 redevelopment projects have revitalized the area, nearly doubling the taxable value of properties from $29 million in 2000 to nearly $60 million today. The corridor has been completely transformed—both in appearance and economic vitality.
