ALTER BREWING COMPANY TO OPEN CRAFT BREWERY IN DOWNERS GROVE
DOWNERS GROVE, IL- The Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation (DGEDC) announced today that Alter Brewing Company, Chicagoland’s newest craft brewery, will open in Downers Grove. The brewery is located at 2300 Wisconsin, Suite 213, very close to I-355/I-88, and the Belmont Road Metra Station. David Yob, Mark Hedrick, and Pete Kosanovich are the Founders. The brewery plans to open later this month. Exact details of the opening will be posted on Alter’s website and on Facebook.
“The vision of the founders is to create world class beer while being the ‘neighborhood brewery’” said Mr. Kosanovich. “Mark Hedrick can often be heard saying ‘we are all friends here!’ So, this winter when there is a chill in the air, come in and have a pint with some friends. And take the time to Alter your life.”
The 8500 sq. ft. production facility features 19 ft. ceilings and a 20 barrel American made stainless steel brewhouse, manufactured by W.M. Sprinkman Corporation. The brewery, which has a 1,600 sq. ft. tap room, will also be available for private parties. Alter Brewing will have continually produced beers, along with seasonal and limited release offerings.
