Mr. Gay was selected for this position at the conclusion of a competitive nationwide search. \u00a0\u201cWe are thrilled to have Bryan join the DGEDC.\u00a0 He is a true economic development professional with a strong history of success at the State, County and Municipal level.\u00a0 We are excited to have him lead our organization and further the DGEDC\u2019s goals of maximizing the economic vibrancy of the Village of Downers Grove.\u201d stated Mr. Fernandez.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Gay has 16 years of economic development experience and most recently served as the President and CEO of Invest Aurora.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m honored to have been selected to lead the Downers Grove EDC, and I&#8217;m looking forward to working with the Board and staff on providing more economic opportunities in the Village of Downers Grove. Downers Grove&#8217;s strategic location just outside of the City of Chicago, and located on Interstates 88, 355 and 55 make it the perfect location to open and grow a business in Illinois. Together with the Village of Downers Grove, we will continue to leverage our great location, high quality of life and strong local economy to build on the Village&#8217;s stellar reputation as a place to do business.\u201d Mr. Gay said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEconomic development is critical to the long-term health and vitality of the Village of Downers Grove.
