These leaders bring a wealth of experience and expertise across the for-profit and non-profit industries, strengthening the DGEDC\u2019s mission to promote economic growth and business success in the Downers Grove area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe Cassidy<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>College of DuPage<\/strong><br \/>\nAs Assistant Vice President of Economic Development at the College of DuPage, Joe Cassidy plays a pivotal role in advancing workforce training, entrepreneurship and educational initiatives that support regional economic development. His experience in building partnerships between academia and industry will provide valuable insights to the DGEDC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Karyn Charvat<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>PowerForward DuPage<\/strong><br \/>\nKaryn Charvat is the Executive Director of PowerForward DuPage, where she has successfully led efforts to promote sustainable energy solutions and workforce development in the electrical contracting industry. Karyn has a great deal of experience serving on non-profit boards at Chamber630 and Choose DuPage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Gatto<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>MG Investment LLC<\/strong><br \/>\nMichael Gatto, Principal at MG Investment LLC, brings extensive experience in real estate investment and development. His deep understanding of retail market trends and strategic investments will be a valuable asset to DGEDC\u2019s focus on economic growth and property development along the Ogden Avenue corridor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chris Johnson<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Classic Cinemas<\/strong><br \/>\nAs CEO of Classic Cinemas, Chris Johnson has successfully grown one of the Midwest&#8217;s most beloved movie theater chains, emphasizing customer experience and community engagement. His leadership in the entertainment and hospitality sector will be instrumental in enhancing Downers Grove\u2019s appeal as a destination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lisa Schvach<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>workNet DuPage<\/strong><br \/>\nLisa Schvach, Executive Director of workNet DuPage, leads workforce solutions and training initiatives to meet the needs of both job seekers and employers in DuPage County. Her expertise in workforce alignment will support DGEDC\u2019s efforts to foster a skilled and dynamic workforce.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kristen Sheffield<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Parents Alliance Employment Project<\/strong><br \/>\nKristen Sheffield serves as the Executive Director of the Parents Alliance Employment Project, where she champions inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Her focus on diversity and inclusion aligns closely with DGEDC\u2019s mission to create a thriving business environment for all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackie Ulaszek<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Bold Insight<\/strong><br \/>\nAs Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Bold Insight, Jackie Ulaszek has cultivated a reputation as a leader in user experience (UX) research and product development. Bold Insight is also one of the fastest growing privately owned companies in Downers Grove and has received several awards in the last five years.
